Scrap Metal Art: Upcycling 2.0

You’ve certainly heard of ‘up-cycling’, the fad of embroidering or otherwise modifying old clothing to make it fashionable again.

Well, you can do the same thing with scrap metal and materials left from your most recent home-improvement or gardening project. Not everyone is this creative, but here are some examples of particularly stunning scrap metal art sculptures.

1. The Scrap Dandelion.

All you need are nails, a hammer, an iron ball-bearing and voila!

Okay, to pull that last one off, you probably have to be a master welder – but the other ones are very possible with a little bit of scrap metal and some imagination.

Not feeling artsy? Bring your scrap metal to one of United Iron & Metal’s Baltimore locations.
